City Index Ltd: This year has seen a surge in volatility and we love it. One way bets are great for investors but spread betters love a good dose of volatility. I had nearly forgotten what it was like to have a short position, simply because the equity markets have rallied relentlessly.
Spread Betting Trading Centre: What are your predictions for the market for the next couple of months?
City Index Ltd: They are biased to the downside and my strategy for the time being is to sell short into rallies.
Spread Betting Trading Centre: Are there any big changes in the market you are expecting?
City Index Ltd: YES. I am expecting some significant changes in the main stock indices this year. I suspect it will catch many on the wrong footing. Of course for the spread better it spells OPPORTUNITY.
